Our School

Dallas County Collegiate Academy was established many years ago for qualified home school high school students to provide dual credit classes through participating colleges.   DCCA started out small with a handful of school students taking dual credit courses as a supplement to our local classes.  Our program has been growing and evolving over the past 4 years to meet the needs of homeschoolers.  We offer so many MORE approved classes and services centered around dual enrollment for homeschoolers in Texas.   DCCA now specializes in early college high school program for our home school families.  Our close relationship with many of the college campuses allows us to customize a plan for each and every qualified student no matter where you are located in Texas! Our mission is to provide home school students a path to success by providing guidance and support through an early introduction into college culture, mastering college level courses, and working towards goals of achieving their High School Diploma, CORE classes, Associates Degree, and/or Certifications.

Our Location

DCCA is located virtually (online) right now due to Covid restrictions.  However, once in person classes resume, we will meet in Rowlett, Texas at the Life Message conference room.   We also try to support Life Message as much as possible in other ways to help our fellow Dallas County residence.   Life Message (a non-profit organization that offers support to Dallas County residence through food bank, clothing, mental services, social services, and assistance in many areas). We have many service projects and volunteer opportunities offered through Life Message. Students attending a participating campus or online are not required to attend any DCCA campus classes.

Our Philosophy

DCCA will provide the high school level guidance and support for each home school student while representing the student as the high school official with the college. DCCA School follows TEA guidelines to help students graduate high school and adheres to the college guidelines for dual credit.  DCCA will be the administrator and record keeper of your student transcript for high school.  Parents will still have the main role as decision maker/partner with our school.
